Great to see our State Government being proactive and transparent on the issue of legacy per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) contamination, which is relevant to industry and the communities affected by the widespread and recalcitrant groundwater plumes that PFAS contamination can form.
The scientific knowledge of the human effects of PFAS exposure is still evolving and meaningful remediation of impacted soil and groundwater is still to be seen.
The recent release and statement supporting access of information and protection towards our environment with regard to PFAS contamination highlights the collaboration required by many of our State departments in tackling this cause of contamination. Click here to read the State Government release.
The Strategen contaminated sites team has solid knowledge and good working experience dealing with PFAS contamination – should you be requiring further information around this, or wanted to check on any contamination issue, don’t hesitate to contact any senior member of our team - George King, Philip Bourgault or Michael Tickle or call us on 9380 3100.
